Shirley M. Posey

Shirley Mae Posey, age 72 of Tuscumbia Alabama, and Michigan, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren Michigan. Shirley was born December 04, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late William Robert Clark and the late Laura (nee: Landre) Clark. Shirley was raised in Detroit and graduated from Catholic high school. She worked and retired from Michigan Bell. During most of her adult life Shirley and her late husband lived in Harrison Township Michigan where they raised their two children. Shirley didnt have any hobbies because her work-life and raising her children and being a caregiver to her mother took up most of her time. Her daughter remembers her mother as a great provider and housekeeper who cooked and canned vegetables. After Shirley and her husband retired they moved to Tuscumbia Alabama where she resided for over 20 years, until her health diminished and forced her to return to Michigan. Mrs. Posey was the beloved wife of the late Lone Ray Posey. She is the dearest mother of Deborah A. Shirley, and Guy C. Posey. Also Mrs. Posey was the loving grandmother of Joseph R. Shelton, Davitt L. Shirley, Lisa M. Shirley, and sister of William Robert Bob (Ethel) Clark. Visitation for Mrs. Posey will be Thursday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). A Scripture Service will be held Thursday 7pm, at the funeral home. Officiating the Scripture Service will be Rev. Fr. Donald Sopiak. Interment will be held in Pocahontas Methodist Cemetery in Carbon Hill Alabama. Please share memories of Mrs. Posey at her guest book.
