Shirley Pauline Thomason

Shirley P. Thomason, age 87, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. She was born November 25, 1926 in Detroit, daughter of the late Walter and Laura Koeppner. Shirley was of German descent. She graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit. Shirley had a passion for gardening. She was blessed with artistic ability and loved to paint in her earlier years. She also enjoyed sewing. Shirley enjoyed traveling with her husband. She especially enjoyed the sights of mountains, birds, lady bugs and nature. Shirley loved to listen to Lawrence Welk. She loved her tea time everyday. Shirley treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was active at her church, St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser for many years. Shirley was the devoted wife of the late Jeffrey. Loving mother of Bob (Suzi) Thomason and Ken Thomason. Treasured grandmother of Keli, Kevin, Barbie, Kenneth, the late Michael, and beloved great-grandmother of Alicia, Michael-Dean, Serenity & Dylan. Visitation for Shirley will be held on Thursday, June 12th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ Mile) in Warren. Her Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday at the Funeral Home.Please share memories of Shirley at her memory book.
