Sonja Jean Dearry passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sonja was the beloved wife of Wayne Dearry for over 60 wonderful years.
She was the loving mother of Michelle (Michael) Jones and Christine (David) Morgan, and the late Karen Dearry. Cherished grandmother to Michael Wayne Jones, David Wayne Diegel, Monica Lynn Jones, Maranda Jean (Emon) Barua, Sonja Kathryn Morgan, and Thomas David Morgan. Proud great-grandmother of Jacob Jones, Ella Barua, Sophia Barua, Anthony Jones, and Michael Jones.
Sonja will be fondly remembered by many other loving family members and dear friends. She found joy in reading, working on crossword puzzles, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her family.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a sharing of memories at 3:00 p.m., at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.
