Stanislaw Krakowian, age 86 of Warren, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. He was born on December 11, 1924 in Poland, the son of the late Pawel and the late Ludwika (nee: Nabiatek) Krakowian. On July 4, 1959, Mr. Krakowian's life took on special meaning when he promised himself in marriage to his bride, Regina. Last year, the two shared their 50th anniversary together, a testimony to the love they enjoyed as husband & wife. With a lifetime career as a Mechanical Repairman, Mr. Krakowian's work experience spanned many different venues where his talents and expertise were highly sought after. But it was with the Chrysler Corporation that he spent the lions share of his career, and from where he retired after many years of dedicated service. And not only were his skills in high demand on the job, but he was also renown for being a devout handyman away from work as well. Always tinkering and fixing things when the need arose, there was never a job too big or too small for this repairman extraordinaire. When he wasn't working, some of his favorite pasttimes included bowling, playing pinnocle, and enjoying a Sunday meal out-on-the-town. He was also a fan of traveling and found great delight in his trips up north, the escapes to the warmth of Florida, and the ever-popular jaunts to the "city that never sleeps," Las Vegas. He was the beloved husband of Regina. Dear brother of Kazimierz, and brother-in-law of Stella and Harriet. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Krakowian will be held on Sunday, January 23rd from 3-9pm, with an evening Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. He will lie in state on Monday from 10am until the time of Mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church, 3100 Eighteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights. Officiating the Mass will be Father Slawomir Murawka. Interment will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Bensenville, Illinois. Please share memories of Mr. Krakowian at his guest book.
