Born in Poland, Stanley came to Michigan in 1949, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He attended Transfiguration School in Detroit and later began a long and dedicated career as a welder—first at Rapistan Inc. for 10 years and then at Dodge Truck Chrysler, where he worked faithfully for 27 years until his retirement.
On August 30, 1959, Stanley married the love of his life, Mary, at St. Ladislaus Church in Hamtramck. Their love story began on the dance floor, where they met polka dancing, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage filled with joy, laughter, and devotion.
A longtime parishioner at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Stanley’s faith was an important part of his life. He found strength and community in his parish, where he was known for his kindness, warmth, and steady spirit.
Stanley had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, and old Westerns, and could never resist the rhythm of a good polka tune. Above all, he was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a steady presence to all who knew him. Stanley’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Mary, and their family and friends who were blessed to share in his life.
Stanley was the beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Dawn (Donald) Haslett and Gary Ginal. Adored grandfather of Alex (Naomi) Haslett, Andrea Haslett, and Ian Ginal. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Teresa Scott and Valek Bujak.
Visitation for Stanley will be held on Wednesday, November 5th from 3-8pm with a 7pm Rosary. He will lie In State on Thursday, November 6th from 9:30am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Mark Parish, 4401 Bart Ave, Warren, MI. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
