Stanley Michael Michalik

Stanley M. Michalik, age 87, died Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born January 28, 1927 in Pinconning, Michigan.He was a proud employee with the Chrysler Corporation where he worked as a painter for many years until his well-deserved retirement. Stanley lived a long and happy life which was blessed with good health for a great many years, much of which is a testament to his strong work ethics and an active lifestyle. Even into his later years, he continued to care for his home and keep abreast of the chores. His loved ones recall how, just a few years ago, he amazingly was able to extract an engine from one of his vehicles,...just another example of the independent man everyone knew him to be.A loving husband, father and grandfather, Stanley will forever be remembered for the special place he held in the hearts and lives of all he touched throughout the years. He leaves behind warm & caring moments and memories, created with family and friends alike, that will be a comfort with each reflection shared. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Stanley was the beloved husband of Irene who preceded him in death in 1982. Loving father of Barbara M. (the late Michael J.) Pieper. Dearest grandfather of Melanie (Chris) Agbay, Heather (Anthony) Martin, and great-grandfather of Zachery, Michelle, Alexis, Chastity, Savannah, Christopher and Emmaleigh. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by 9 siblings. Visitation for Stanley will be held on Wednesday, July 30th from 3-9 pm, with a 6:30pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. He will lie in state Thursday from 9:00 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.Please share memories of Stanley at his memory book.
