

Stephanie Alice Tomczyk, 89, of Warren, died October 12, 2009, at St. John Oakland Macomb Hospital Macomb Center. Stephanie was born September 2, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Stephen Tustanowski and the late Tekla (nee: Teoniw) Tustanowski. In 1942 she graduated from Providence Nursing School but later found her career in raising her 7 wonderful children. After her children left home she found herself driving her and her husband Henry across the United States to visit all of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 2007, Stephanie and Henry were able to celebrate their 65 years of marriage together before the good Lord called Henry home on November 15th, 2007. In Stephanies spare time she was an exceptional quilter and craftswomen. She was able to present every one of her 7 children and 12 grandchildren with a work of art that will forever be cherished by each and every one of them. She was also involved with Camp Fire Girls as a leader and council member for many years. Stephanie had a wonderful friendship with many women for over 60 years that were all involved in her sewing circle. Many say she will be forever missed and she was every ones True North. She is predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Tekla Teoniw, her loving husband of 65 years, Henry, and her grandson, Tyler Moody. Stephanie is survived by, Susan (Morrie) Cunha, Stephen (Maria), Henry V., Julianne (Richard) Johnson, Christopher, Timothy (Maria), and Veronica (Kevin) Moody. Her grandchildren Morrie, Jeff, Joseph, Evie, Neil, Clifford, Theresa, Jennifer, Michelle, Anna, Carl, and her 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mrs. Tomczyks Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Father Bill Siebert. Please share memories at her guest book.
