

Susanna A. (nee: Schoenherr) D'Angelo, 90 of Clinton Township, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Susanna was born August 11, 1917 in Erin Township, Michigan the daughter of the late Louis Schoenherr and the late Barbara (nee: Ohlert) Schoenherr. She was raised on a 100 acre farm in Sterling Township with her twelve brothers and sisters. Susanna always took great pride in the fact she could handle a team of horses as well as any of her brothers. Susanna met the love of her life, Frank DAngelo, out on the dance floor at local dance. She and her husband loved to dance together at any occasion. Mr. & Mrs. DAngelo raised their family in Sterling Heights where Mrs. DAngelo stayed at home to care for her children. She was a founding member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a member of the Alter Society. Her children remember their mother as a wonderful cook and baker, she made the best pies in all three counties apple custard was her best, and at family reunions her family felt all her pies were prize winners. Susanna was also an accomplished seamstress, and horticulturalist. After her children were grown Susanna and her husband Frank retired to Prudenville Michigan in 1983, where they built their own home on Lake James. She and her husband also enjoyed board games and traveling to the casino to play the slots. Susanna and Frank would eventually move back to Clinton Township to be closer to family. After her husband died Susanna moved into the Sunrise Assisted Living facility where fellow residents remember a woman who was an outstanding bowler. Mrs. D Angelo is survived by her loving children, Mark (Dorene) DAngelo, David (Darlene) DAngelo, Catherine (Daniel) Sweeney, and Susanne (Richard) Simoni. She is further survived by her sisters, Marguerite Masters, Beatrice Reiterman, and Elizabeth Reiber. Mrs. DAngelo is also the cherished grandmother of Scott (Nancy), Christopher (Kirsten), Robin (Larry), Kimberly (Brian), Andrea (Michael), Sara (Maher), Danny, Katie Rose, Michael, Jessica, Jaclyn, and great-grandmother of John, Isabel, Evelyn, Lyla, Dominic, Zachary, Avery, Madelyn, and Olivia. Susanna was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank. Visitation for Mrs. DAngelo will be Tuesday from 5-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-9 pm with 7:30 pm rosary, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). A Funeral Service will be held Thursday 11 am, at the Funeral Home. Celebrating the Funeral Service will be Rev. Fr.
