Sylvia Marie Marchand

Sylvia M. Marchand, age 70 of Warren, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Macomb Center in Warren, Michigan. Sylvia was born August 20, 1940 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Leonard and the late Alice (nee: Dolecki) Jozwiak. Sylvia was deeply kindhearted and generous, always attentive to the needs of others. There's no question,...Sylvia loved to have a good time, had a very kind outgoing personality, and so enjoyed making memories with family and friends. Sylvia was very attentive to her familys needs,especially her son Michaels needs. Her love for her children was greater then anyone could ever imagine. Sylvia and Thomas were both very active as advocates for the mentally disabled children. She was also heavily involved with the volunteers of the womens group at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. She will be greatly missed by both of these organizations. She was the beloved wife of Thomas, and loving mother of Michael, and David. She was the dear sister of Jerome (Jeanette) Jozwiak and sister in law of Carolyn Marchand, and Elizabeth Schaefer. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Marchand will be held Sunday 2:30 - 9:00 pm with a 3pm ACWC Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). She will lie in state Monday 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Mass 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
