

Teri Ann Prentis age 74, died Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Teri Ann was born July 14, 1944 in Warren, Michigan the daughter of the late Leo Swieczkowski and the late Nancy (nee: DeSano) Swieczkowski.Teri Ann was raised in Warren, Michigan and was a graduate of Lincoln High School the graduating class of 1962. While in high school Teri Ann excelled at swimming and also played the piano and sang within her church choir.During the majority of her life Teri Ann suffered from epileptic seizures, however she never used this debility as an excuse nor did she ever complain. Teri Ann never drove a car, however she managed to get where she wanted to go. Teri Ann was a lover of Christ and devout in her faith. She cherished the Gospel and whenever she could go out and spread the good news she did. During her life she took many mission trips to spread the message of Jesus Christ.Time in church singing songs of praise and worship is where Teri Ann loved to be. She also loved the outdoors and remembered fondly the many camping trips with her daughters up north on the Leelanau Peninsula during the Cherry Festival. She was a lover of animals and in her younger years had horses and many dogs over the years. Additionally she enjoyed fishing and once caught a trophy 48" Pike in Canada.Teri Ann was very social and kind... she enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening, tending to her flowers, and online shopping. Also Teri Ann loved good Chinese food and when asked what food to go out for, it was always Chinese. She could make friends just about anywhere which even included the workers at the nursing home where she resided towards the end of her life. Her faith and her family were paramount in her life. She shared the many gifts God bestowed upon her, including her gift of kindness. Additionally Teri Ann shared her needle works, knitted crafts, beaded jewelry, and many other items with her family.Teri Ann was the loving mother of Heather (Michael) Gross and Nancy (Paul) Aiuto. She was the cherished grandmother of Miranda Aiuto, Candace Aiuto, Giovanni Aiuto, Amber Sansoni, Dominic Aiuto, and Josephine Aiuto. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 19th at Warren Community Church, 28100 Ryan Road in Warren. The family will receive friends and guest at 11:30am with the Memorial Service beginning at 12 Noon. Officiating the services will be Pastor Frank Taubitz.Memorial donations in Teri Ann's name may be made to the Warren Community Church Missions.
