Terry Scott

Terry Scott, age 74, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan.  Terry was born February 12, 1947 in Williamson, West Virginia, the fifth of six children born to the late James Scott and the late Daisy (nee: McCoy) Scott,..."yes, THOSE McCoys."

Terry was the beloved husband of Nancy Scott, (nee: Younce), a love story beginning at their respective ages of 14 and 16, with the two only separated during the years Terry served his Country during the Vietnam War. He was the dear father of Jason Scott to continue his legacy, and the late Sean Scott. He is also survived by his big brother Letcher “Buddy” Scott,  and his treasured grandchildren Shelby, Devin, Chloe and Leah. Additional survivors include his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who mourn the loss of this loving, giving uncle who never saw a baseball and glove that weren’t his friends, a fishing spot that didn’t have his name on it, or a party he wasn’t the life of. Terry now rises to join his son, Sean, his parents, brothers Ralph and Tom, and his beloved sisters Linda Anderson and Dorothy (Dottie) Engle. 

A hard working man with a dedication to his country and work ethic,...Terry made many dear friends over the years working at both Stroh’s Brewery and the Chrysler Corporation who will miss this easy going, generous soul. He was a man steeped in his faith who read the Bible every morning, and would have you remember John 16:22, “Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice and no one will take away your joy.” 

Visitation for Mr. Scott will be held on Wednesday, April 14th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren, Michigan. His Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, 11:00 am at the funeral home.
