Theresa Makowski, age 84 of Warren, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. She was born September 19, 1930 in Detroit, daughter of the late Frank and the late Teofila (nee: Baranowski) Skupin.Theresa was the beloved mother of Denise (Leon) Wrobel. Loving grandmother of Jonathan (Katrina) Wrobel, Adam Wrobel, and great-grandmother of Hannah. To her family, Theresa was affectionately known as the "Last of the Super Skupin Six,"…having been preceded in death by her other five sibling's; Chester, Joseph, Regina, Helen, and Lillian. Visitation for Theresa will be held Monday, July 6th from 3-9pm, with an evening Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. She will lie in state on Tuesday from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Blessed John Paul II Parish (formerly Transfiguration Catholic Church), 5830 Simon K, Detroit, MI 48212.
