Born in Eastpointe, Thomas lived a life defined by dedication to his family, hard work, and simple joys. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he completed his high school education while in service. Following his military service, Thomas built a successful career as an electrician with Chrysler, where he worked faithfully for 30 years before retiring.
Thomas shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Beverly. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories through their travels, trips to the casino, and countless hours spent working side by side in their yard. Thomas took great pride in tending his flowers and caring for the beauty around his home.
He was a devoted father to his son, Patrick, and a loving brother to the late Sharon Bates. Family was at the center of Thomas's life, and he treasured the time spent with those he loved.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, though he never cared much for eating fish himself. Instead, he delighted in sharing his catches with family and friends, finding joy in giving to others. He was also an avid sports fan who could often be found in his dedicated spot on the couch, cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams.
