Tommie attended Roseville and Lakeview High Schools and worked intermittently at Inkslingers for 20 years. She was also a longtime member of the church for the deaf, which held a special place in her life.
Above all else, family was the most important thing to Tommie. She treasured being surrounded by the people she loved and making memories together. Holidays were especially meaningful, with the entire family gathering at her parents’ house, all in one room, singing, laughing, and enjoying one another’s company. Family dinners were another favorite tradition, and birthday celebrations were never complete without a trip to Olive Garden followed by a birthday cake.
Tommie loved traveling with her family, especially taking trips in their motorhome and driving out west. Other favorite destinations included Mexico and California, but her absolute favorite place to visit was Las Vegas.
She had a creative and fun-loving spirit and enjoyed shopping, singing, making TikTok videos, doing her makeup and hair, and accessorizing with jewelry. She also loved painting, drawing, crafting, and decorating for parties, holidays, and birthdays. Tommie enjoyed getting dressed up and taking pictures of herself whenever she was feeling good, embracing the opportunity to express her personality and enjoy the moment.
Tommie will be remembered for her love of family, her many interests, and the special memories she created with those closest to her. The family gatherings, birthday celebrations, vacations, songs, and laughter she cherished will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
