Dear Kim, Krista and Andrea,

OMG! I would love it if someone could say not true. But the internet confirms. I have lost a perfect friend. My loss Is nothing when compared to yours. Kim I must thank you for helping me reach out to Miz. There is no way I would have missed Sundays service, except for not knowing about it.

I am so sorry I did not get to spend a moment with you then. I am sure it must have been awesome seeing all his past players as they displayed their fondness for 'the coach'  by attending. I had a similar experience when I lost a teammate who had been an athletic director for a school district in Ohio. It took 2.5 hours to reach the front of the line. I spent the entire wait talking to both male and female student athletes who reverder this man.

Eventually I will go to my grave a better person for having had him in my life. I called Miz a perfect friend because in all the years I'd known him, I never heard one negative word about him. While we met through bowling when his dad and I bowled together on Friday nights at Continental Lanes, it was softball which bound us.

I have played ball for 75 of my 88 years and finished the tournament trail after over 25 years, the last 6 with my 80 year old team. I was recruited by a team playing out of Minnesota & Florida. Like Miz, my love of ball was my second of two loves.  Mary Anne, twins Aileen and Eileen and Sandra were my foundation. 

Miz and his family will be in my prayers. GOD will make good use of the coaching skills that he has gained at our expense. May HE bless you in this time of sorrow.

My Daughter Alicia Played for Miz from 2010-2013. I remember a game where the girls weren’t playing very well.  Alicia was in the dug out and Miz says “God help me”. So Alicia chimes in with “God, please help Miz” the girls ended up winning the game. Miz came over and said “I think your girl has connections”. I will greatly miss him, especially during my grocery shopping at Meijer, we usually ran into each other and he always had the best smile 💔💕

I got to know Tony through, what else, softball. We coached from opposite dugouts from early recreation slow pitch, to the start of recreation fast pitch, then through varsity. Always a friendly rivalry between Stevenson and Ford. What a great coach and mentor he was to hundreds of players through the years. My prayers to his family and friends. The people of Sterling Heights lost a great person with his passing, but his legacy will carry on through his players and their children.

Coach was truly incredible. He always knew the right thing to say. Whether it was a pep talk or compliments, he had a way of knowing just when and how to get the best out of you. I always knew he had our best interest at heart, whether spending time with his amazing daughter Andrea at their house or on the field. His presence was a comfort and his voice was the best. May his memory be eternal.

Coach Miz was the best coach I have ever had and one of the best people I have ever met. He was not only my biggest supporter, but the team’s biggest one. He always cracked funny jokes and knew how to make us all enjoy our day a little bit better. I will forever miss him throwing bullpens to us and his words of encouragement. I am so grateful I got to experience the light that he was. He will be greatly missed.

Tony was always ready to share a handshake, a hug, a laugh. He was one of those guys that it felt right just to be around. Till we meet again my friend.

I have coached against Tony for years and he was a great man.  One memory that left a lasting impression on me was when we actually beat them in a district game and he came over to our team as we huddled in the outfield to congratulate us and wish us the best of luck as we moved on.  What great sportsmanship!  Whenever we spoke the conversation almost always came around to his love of his children and grandchildren and how proud he was of them.  His family was #1.

Tony was one of my favorite things about Stevenson. I had the privilege to coach softball with him in the early years and have enjoyed seeing him at so many Stevenson events over the years. I was always welcomed with a huge smile, an even bigger hug and told stories about Andrea and Krista as well as all the babies that came along. He will be missed so much and my prayers extend to Kim, Andrea, Krista and all the grandbabies who will miss out on so many memories with him. It was an honor to know him and be considered a friend. What a huge loss.

Tony was taken from us way too early.  He was a loving husband, father, papa and a wonderful friend.  Miz was a beautiful person who had a good word for all.  A Hall of Fame coach who was truly a players coach.  You were a valued member of the Stevenson coaching family and will be sorely missed by all whose path you crossed.  RIP Coach Miz, you will be missed by all.

Dear  Misuraca Family,

The abrupt loss of your husband, father and loving family man is a shock and very, very sad.  Dig deep for strength and keep your faith based with caring and all of the wonderfully fond, fun, and cherished remembrances of Miz.  

We, especially wish our family members, Krysta, Brett, Bryce, and Kade, the very best in this sad time.  Be strong.  Continue to raise your wonderful family with all of the sound values and inspiration you learned from Miz.  You'll never go wrong!
