Virginia Ruth Lawrence

Virginia R. Lawrence, age 92 of Warren, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her home. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 26, 1917 to parents, Stanley & Joanne Piwowarski. A longtime resident of Warren for over 25 years, Virginia was known for her skills and proclivities in the realm of sewing. She not only enjoyed this fine art personally, but also professionally as the proud owner of her own Seamstress business. On the recreational side of life, Virginia enjoyed sharing her evenings of dinner & dancing with longtime companion, Tom. Together, they forged many wonderful memories of fine dining and "tripping the light fantastic!" She was a loving mother, grandmother & friend who enjoyed spending time with those she loved. Beloved wife of the late, Steve. Dear mother of Christine Shank, Kathleen Samulski, Beverly Magnuson, and the late James Lawrence. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her dear companion, Thomas Discenna. Visitation for Virginia will be on Monday, June 15 from 2:00pm until the time of her Memorial Service at 6:00pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren. Please share memories of Virginia at her guest book.
