It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Virgina Bernice Perry on April 5th, Easter Sunday. Virgina was born on March 24, 1932 in Detroit, MI daughter of late Edward and Mary (Gresnick) Barkovich. She was married April 25, 1953, to the late James Charles Perry, they were married 61 beautiful years. She raised her five boys in Warren, MI where she served as a Van Dyke public school Board Member and Macomb Community College trustee. Virgina loved attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events; she also had a passion for line dancing and crime dramas. She loved playing cards and games with her family. Virgina was an active member of her church community as well.
Virgina is survived by her children James (Sharon) Perry, Stephen Perry, Robert Perry, Ronald (Kristi) Perry, Joseph Perry. She was an adored grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann (Barkovich) Bilyk.
Celebration of life for Virgina will be held at a future date.
