

Wanda Karr, age 90 a longtime resident of Warren, died Monday, February 07, 2011 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Macomb Center in Warren. Wanda was born December 05, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Valentine Adamczyk and the late Anna (nee: Sepola) Adamczyk. Wanda was raised in Detroit and graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. Wanda was a hard worker her entire life. She began working for her father in his grocery store and later worked with her husband at his hardware store and later at the familys Eastown Rec Bowl. Her last job was working for Gamalski Hardware in Warren. Wanda had a passion for a good party and playing cards she enjoyed anytime spent with family, neighbors, and friends. She also had a special affinity for the children in the neighborhood however cherished her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Quiet time at home was spent with her beloved Cockatiel Bird, solving crossword puzzles, or listening to her radio. Wanda was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Karr, and the dear mother of Barbara (Robert) Debrowsky, and the late Raymond Karr. She was the mother in-law of Arlene Karr, and the loving grandmother of Suanne Williams, Jeanine Fantuzzi, Michelle Audia, Daniel Karr, Steven Karr, and Michael Karr. Wanda was also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Karr will be Thursday from 3-9pm with an evening Vigil at 7pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Mrs. Karr will lie in state Friday 9am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am.
