William aka Brother Bill, a proud Army Veteran having served his country in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 with the 11th Armored Calvary. Bill was a proud member of the American Legion where he had a good time going and enjoying an afternoon out with his buddies. Bill was always known as a handyman who loved working on cars, especially loved his trucks and John Deere tractors. His favorite things to tinker with were his watches. Bill loves them so much and always had the time spot on and in beautiful working condition, you would never see him without a pocket watch on hand. Among his many adventures, he loved going to the Theatre, taking long drives to visit his children and grand babies, and spending time playing board games and card games like Milles Borne. One of his favorite pastimes was going to steak dinners with his friends and family and enjoying company. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved, he especially enjoyed chatting on the phone. When unwinding at home he loved to sit on the porch and listen to his country radio stations, especially when Hank Williams Jr. was on. The Three Stooges and National Lampoon Christmas Vacation were some of his favorites and could always make him laugh. He would never miss an episode of The Price is Right, it’s time to come on down.
William is preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Patricia Gietzen. He will be forever missed by his loving children Janet (James) Reighard, Julia (Rob) Kaiser, William Gietzen, Jessica (Damien) O’Brien, and his baby Mary (Tory) Ball. His nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and his numerous grand puppies.
