Bill grew up in Warren and graduated from Cousino High School. In his younger years, he was a boxer, a reflection of the determination and toughness that were part of his character. Bill was a man who valued the people in his life. He shared a wonderful and special relationship with his sister, Judy, and her passing was a great loss to him. He also had many friends who cared deeply about him, especially Dave Cross and Mary Badger, who were there to help and support Bill with his care. Their friendship and kindness meant so much to him.
Bill was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of bringing laughter into a conversation and could always be counted on for a clever comment or a good story. For many years, Bill worked as a Hi-Lo driver at General Motors, where he built a career before eventually retiring. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the life he had built over the years.
Bill loved all things Detroit. He enjoyed the city's sports, food, amenities, and especially its rich history. He had a particular fascination with Detroit's colorful mobster history and could spend hours talking about the people and stories that shaped the city he loved.
Bill will be remembered for his humor, his quick mind, his friendships, his love of Detroit, and the many memories he created with the people around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill was the beloved brother of the late Judith Kuhn. Loving cousin of Penny (Bob) Eastman and many other cousins. He is also survived by numerous wonderful friends.
Visitation for Bill will be held on Friday, September 25th from 3-8pm with a 7pm Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
Memorial donations in Bill's name are appreciated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
