William Wilford LaLonde

Born in Center Line to the late Wilford and Bertha LaLonde, Bill worked for General Dynamics for over 35 years. Working in Supplier Relations, Bill’s time at General Dynamics took him all around SE Michigan. On his travels, Bill would often visit different golf courses, his favorite pastime, with friends and his wife, Betty. He fostered his son’s love for golfing, even though he beat Chris almost every round. Bill enjoyed going to “Deer Camp” for hunting. His prized possessions were his hunting rifles. At home, a local sports channel was always on TV, especially the Tiger’s games whenever they played. A beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Bill will be missed dearly.

Loving husband of Betty for 65 years to whom he wed on February 8, 1957. Cherished dad of Darcee (the late Phil) Pilarski and Chris (Michelle) LaLonde. Beloved “Poppy” of William “Billy,” Ryan, Christopher, Alex, and Sarah. Caring brother of the late Dorothy Rivard and Shirley Godin. Bill is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Abby.
