William R. Vandekerckhove, age 76 of Warren died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Abbey Nursing Home. He was born April 27, 1932 in Detroit the son of the late William and the late Ann (nee: Conolly) Vandekerckhove. William served in the United States Navy. William is survived by his children, Diane, Barbara (Bill) Harmony, and Ronald; siblings, Joanie (Carl), and Jack (Donna); grandchildren, Billy, Preston, and Nicole. He is predeceased by his wife, Beverly and his brother, James. Visitation for Mr. Vandekerckhove will be held Monday 3-9 pm with a 7:30 pm Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
