Born in Bristol, the son of Nicholas and Virginia Ruggiero, he was also known as Charlie and Buddy, and lived in Barrington for 55 years.
Carmine loved to paint, was an avid reader, a sharp card player, and enjoyed a good debate. He was passionate about teaching and never stopped sharing his knowledge and wisdom. He loved to travel with his family and was a devout christian. Although he lived in Barrington, he was a Bristolian through and through.
Besides his wife Sigrid, he leaves two sons, William Ruggiero of Pawtucket, RI and Michael Ruggiero of Charleston, SC and a brother, John Ruggiero of Pennsylvania as well as many relatives and friends.
His Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in Barrington Baptist Church, 25 Old Country Rd., Barrington. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carmine's honor may be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907
