

Edward “Eddy” Leocadio of Bristol, passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday March 2, 2025. Born in Maia, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, a son of the late Joseph and Maria (Faria) Leocadio, he immigrated to the United States in 1966 settling in Bristol.
He was educated in Portugal and served in the Portuguese Army in Africa during the Revolution of Mozambique. He earned his GED, and his electrical certificate from New England Technical Institute.
Eddy worked as a Journeyman Electrician for Don Jestings and Sons in Middletown for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, exercising, cooking, ballroom dancing, bike riding and was a huge Benfica fan.
He is survived by his only son Dean Leocadio, MD and his wife Matty of Falmouth, MA; three grandchildren, Marlayna, Tobias and Sydney Leocadio; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Louise Mendes, Isaura Gomes, Guilhermo, Silvino, Joseph and Antero Leocadio. The family also extends their gratitude to his neighbors whom he was very close with.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, RI. Invited relatives and friends are asked to please refrain from sending flowers. Live houseplants are welcomed in lieu of flowers. Burial private.
