Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Catherine (Brum) Estrella.
A graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Elsie worked as a legal secretary for the state of Rhode Island for many years. An avid reader, she enjoyed quilting, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Bristol.
She is survived by three children, Sharon C. Connolly and her husband Charles of Warren, Mark A. Calce and his wife Maggie of Bristol, and Melissa Calce Sousa of Swansea; two sisters, Alyce Kulpa and Katherine Ebbitt, both of Bristol; five grandchildren, Christine Connolly, Taylor and John Calce, and Shayna and Sydney Sousa; five great-grandchildren, Isadora Craveiro, Marcus and Sienna Calce, Owen and Arlo Devers, as well as several nieces and nephews. Elsie was the sister of the late Connie Palumbo, Mary Catalano, Manuel, John, and Tony Estrella.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM from Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home. 615 Main St., Warren, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Alexander Cemetery, Warren. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
