Fernando da Costa, age 89, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Evergreen House in East Providence. He was the husband of Maria da Gloria (Melo) Costa.

Born in the Acores, he was the son of the late Joao da Costa and Maria da Gloria (Camara).

Mr. da Costa is survived by his children; Filomena Pacheco and her husband Tony, Michael, Andre, John, Fernando and Ana Maria Costa, his siblings; Anterio da Costa, Natalia Maio and Almarinda Cordeiro, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fernando was predeceased by his son, Jose Jacinto Costa and his siblings, John da Costa and Isabel Toledo.

His visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 8:00 to 10:00 AM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Warren.
