Born, September 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Francis J. Pimental, Sr. and Evelyn (Medeiros) Santos.
Frank worked for the Town of Bristol for 32 years, retiring as foreman. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving for 4 years. In addition he was a volunteer fireman for 15 years and was captain of the Hydrulon Company, a lieutenant with the special reserve, served on the Bristol Harbor Patrol and was a member of the Elks and the Bristol 4th of July committee. Most recently, Frank was an assistant at the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home.
Frank loved the drum corp. and was a member of the Warren Indian Band, the Royal Lancers, the R.I. Matadors, the Generations of Bristol, the Connecticut Hurricanes and the Bristol Kingsman. He was also an avid toy collector and was an active and dedicated member of the Bristol Community.
He was the father of James Pimental and his wife Maria of Seekonk, Joseph Bailey, Mae Joly and the late Kevin Pimental; grandfather of 12; great grandfather of 2; brother of Frank, Scott, Jody, and Lyn Santos and Betty Phillips and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-8 PM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. Funeral services will be at 9:00 AM on Wednesday. No church service, burial with Military Honors will be held at the RI Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter, RI at 10:30 AM.
