Born in Providence a son of the late Edwardo and Maria (Cafaro) Lanzi he was a longtime resident of Rumford, RI before moving to Riverside.
A veteran of the United States Navy he served as a Seaman First Class during WWII. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jewelry Design
He was a musician and skilled in playing the drums.
He is survived by his two sons, Edward S. Lanzi and his wife Myra of Seekonk, MA and Daniel T. Thielman of Newport; two daughters, Madeline Prout of Florida and Rosemary Florenzano and her husband Frank of Barrington; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alexander “Sandy” Lanzi and Enrico “Rico” Lanzi.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Alexander’s Church, 221 Main Street, Warren followed by burial in St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Warren.
