Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late James A. Panzarella, Sr. and Fern (Tomaz) Panzarella.
James was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1979 and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Johnson & Wales University. A talented chef, he devoted much of his life to the culinary profession, having worked at Capriccio’s, he formerly owned and operated the Green House Tavern in Bristol and worked at several restaurants throughout the Boston area.
Beyond his passion for cooking, he enjoyed spending time with family at their Fourth of July celebrations throughout the years.
He is survived by his uncle, Angelo J. Panzarella of Bristol; his close cousin, Janet Nappi and her late husband John S. Costa, Jr. of Warren, his cousin, Rhonda Thibodeau and her family of Pawtucket. He was brother of the late Eleanor Panzarella, grandson of the late Salvatore and Helen Panzarella and Maria Tomaz and nephew of the late Josephine T. Nappi and Thomas Tomaz.
