King, John B., Jr. “Bud”, 72, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. He was the loving husband of Betty (Atkinson) King. Born in Attleboro, MA he was a son of the late John Basil Sr. and Ruth (Gustafson) King.
Mr. King attended Roger Williams University as well as Bryant College. He was on the Board of Governors and a past President for the Touisset Point Community Club, a member of the Portuguese American Club and a volunteer firefighter for Engine #6 for many years. He loved sports and was an avid bowler.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Sherri King and Rebecca Hindle and her husband Edward and John Basil King, III; brother, Douglas King; grandchildren, Rachel and Lauren Rodrigues and Emma and Eddie Hindle; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Little Buddy.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, Main St., Warren. Contributions in his memory may be made to Touisset Fire Co. Engine #6, 106 Touisset Rd., Warren, RI 02885.
