Born in Sanford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Verdie and Leona (Fournier) Leighton.
Juanita was a devout Jehovah’s Witness whose faith remained an important part of her life. A hardworking and determined woman, she was employed for many years as a presser before retiring in 2016.
She is survived by her children, Connie J. Budge (Brent) of Greenbush, ME, Andrew Carlson, Lori A. Carlson (Edmund) of Warren, and Wendy L. Carlson (Mariano) of Bristol; her grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Fernando and Steven; Her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden, Savannah, Aubriella, Lincoln and Brigit. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Leighton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughters Patrica and Kelly.
