Born in Feteiras, Sao Miguel, Azores a son of the late Jose DeSousa Cordeiro and the late Maria DoCarma (Bothelho) Cordeiro he immigrated to Warren, RI in August of 1972.
A hard worker, Mr. Cordeiro was a cowhand in Sao Miguel, was as an assembler for Carol Cable Company for many years until the company relocated to Pawtucket and then at Sunset Bakery in Bristol. Always busy with his hands, he enjoyed building miniature models of ox drawn plows but mostly enjoyed being home, spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, John Cordeiro of Warren; one granddaughter, Krystal DePoy and her husband Kevin of Bristol; one grandson, Stephen Cordeiro and his wife Brittany; three great-grandchildren, Kyle DePoy, Lillian DePoy and Logan Cordeiro and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his six brothers.
His visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM in Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.
