Maria C. Rego

Born in Soa Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joa and Maria (Moniz) DeCosta Lopes.

Maria was employed by Converse in Bristol and Carol Cable in Warren. She was also a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of the Portuguese American Club in Warren.

She was the mother of Dorothy Hamel of Michigan, Maria A. Mallett, Daniel Rego and Jose C. Rego, Jr. of Warren and John Oliviera of Canada; sister of Georgina Machado of Florida; grandmother of Robert J. Mallett, Jr., Jennifer Terceira, Allyson Romanoff, McKenzie Mallett, Eva Cabral and Abigail Mumford and great grandmother of Julian and Jayce.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Avenue, Warren. Burial to follow in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Warren. Visitation Friday 4-7 PM.
