Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Patrick and Concorde (Lavoie) Denehy, she had been a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of the former Sacred Heart Academy, she attended the Chandler Secretarial School in Boston. An expert knitter, she was the proud owner of the former Perfectly Twisted Yarn Shop in Tiverton. Maureen was a kind-hearted woman who was always positive and found good in all.
In addition to her to husband, she is survived by her daughter, Molly Rounds and her granddaughter, Lydia Rounds both of Warren. She was the stepmother of the late Kimberly Ann Dupre and sister of the late Patricia Perkins.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home.
