Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland she was the youngest of six children– five girls and one boy which meant she learned early how to win an argument and steal the best outfits. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Angela Guilfoyle, Sean Daly, Monica Ryan and Phyllis Fortune. She leaves behind her dear sister, Chrissy Savage who will turn 90 this year and remains the last standing member of a wonderfully spirited Irish family. Many wonderful nieces and nephews will keep family tradition alive.
After marrying Daniel Ryan, together with a few friends they crossed the Atlantic in search of opportunity and adventure. America got more than they bargained for as Patsy worked many years at Jewish Home and Hospital while “trying” to keep an eye on the pubs run by her husband.
Her proudest role, however, was being Mom and Grandma. She and Danny were blessed with one daughter Karen Ryan Ceseretti, who married Mark Ceseretti and they kept her busy with four adored granddaughters, Isabella Sunshine Ceseretti, Patricia Jordan Ceseretti, Grace Daly Ceseretti, and Danielle Ryan Ceseretti. It wasn’t long before they relocated to Warren, Rhode Island where she helped raise the girls and became their biggest fan and fashion consultant.
Patsy loved family gathering, long chats, celebrations and looking fashionable. Her idea of a perfect evening was being surrounded by friends, family, good stories and a sing song with something nice in her glass.
She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who will miss her laughter and enough stories to keep us all entertained for a lifetime. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband, siblings and friends who passed before, and imagine them all catching up on decades of news and organizing a proper Irish gathering to get all gussied up for and maybe even doing her favorite old party pieces – you all know what they are!
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Patsy’s wonderful life at Wilbur Romano Funeral Home for a viewing on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8:30-10:30AM followed by mass at 11:00AM said by Fr. Chew at St. Mary’s of the Bay, 645 Main St., Warren. We will then accompany Patsy to Forest Chapel Cemetery where we say our final goodbye.
