

Paul J. L’Heureux, age 63 of Bristol, RI, passed away after a courageous 11-year battle with esophageal cancer. He died peacefully on Christmas Day at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Erin Bean.
Born in Lancaster, CA, Paul spent the majority of his life in RI. He was a graduate of Tolman High School and excelled as a RI DECA Champion for Business Math & Finance.
One of Paul’s greatest achievements was his unwavering dedication to raising his two children, William & Candace—managing three jobs as a single father to provide for them. Paul spent 40 years as a Maintenance Mechanic at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He absolutely loved his job, which led him to work with so many wonderful people. He was an expert in fixing the pneumatic tube system and nurse call lights!
An adventurer at heart, Paul’s passions took him around the world, visiting 17 countries. He also found joy in shooting at Sayles Hill Gun Club, bike riding, attending concerts, dancing to classic rock, and reading the complete works of David Baldacci. What he cherished most was his family, which includes his children and grandkids, the Podraza crew, his beloved dog, Roo Bear, the rascals of Sayles Hill, Fatima Hospital family and Paul Spletter, his best friend of over 45 years from Daytona, FL.
To his family, he was a loving, patient, and stubborn Frenchman—qualities that strengthened him throughout his valiant fight with cancer. He was known as kind, strong-minded, sensitive and Mr. Fix-anything!
Along with his wife, Erin, he is survived by his daughter Candace Boudreau of Warwick, his son, William L’Heureux of Woonsocket, stepson Dylan Bean of Bristol, and eight grandchildren, Skye, Hailey, Mackenzie, Christian, Trevor aka ”Jean Paul”, Harry, Bella, and William.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a service starting at 12:30 PM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St, Warren. A Celebration of Life will held Sunday, January 12, 2025 at at 12:00 PM at the Sayles Hill Rod & Gun Club, 71 Sayles Hill Rd, North Smithfield, RI.
