Born on April 20, 1923 in Bristol, R.I. a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Maria (Carvalho) Ventura.
A lifelong resident of Bristol, Rose was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary of the Bay Parish, and was devoted to her faith and family. A soft spoken and gentle woman, she was strong, caring, selfless and the center of our family love. Her unconditional love, faith and hope is her legacy. She was a skilled gardener, an avid reader and a true listener.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Borges and her husband Bruce; Virginia Drought and her husband Robert; and sons Manuel Nunes II and his wife Dorothy; and Peter Nunes; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph, John and Manuel Ventura, Mary Couto and Mary Lawrence.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main Street, Warren. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Warren. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
