Sally W. Theberge

October 5, 1933April 20, 2019

Sally W. (Pierce) Theberge, age 85, of Warren, was called home to be with her Lord Saturday, April 20, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Manor. She was the loving wife of Edward J. Theberge to whom she was married for fifty-eight years.

Born in Cranston, RI, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and the late Hope L. (Anthony) Pierce. She graduated from Cranston East High School in 1951.

Sally held multiple positions at Rhode Island Hospital Trust National Bank where she met her future husband Edward. Both became longtime residents of Warren. During the Bicentennial, Sally enjoyed leading a project of painting historical figures on Warren's fire hydrants, a creative undertaking she enjoyed very much. Becoming a stay-at-home mother was important to Sally, and she loved raising her children. When they attended college, Sally reentered the workplace to help support their educations. Once grandchildren arrived, she was thrilled and loved spending as much time with them as possible.

Sally and her husband enjoyed wintering in Florida, traveling, and cruising.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Dr. Gregory S. Theberge and his wife Karen of Glocester, RI; her daughter Dorene K. Krisovitch and her husband David of Nazareth, PA; three grandchildren Danielle F. Krisovitch, Kaitlyn E. Theberge, and Brent E. Krisovitch; a sister Barbara L. Josephson; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Nancy Lou Urquhart, Frank W. Pierce, Jr., and Peter A. Pierce.

Contributions may be made in her honor to the charity of one's choice. Private services are in the care of the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, Warren, RI. For tributes, please visit:

Dear Ed and family,
I met Sally when I began working for you Ed at Hospital Trust back in the 60's. Sally was a fun person to know and possessed a great sense of humor.
She will certainly be missed.
I haven't lived in Rhode Island since 1972, but I read the Providence Journal online every day which is how I learned of Sally's passing. Rest in peace dear Sally.
