

Age 98, of Warren died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the devoted husband of the late Ann (Incollingo.)
Born in Providence, he was a 1932 graduate of Technical High School and he starred in track and cross country races and captained the cross country team in 1931. He was a former amateur boxer and assistant boxing coach at the Providence YMCA. He was employed at the former Crown Fastener plant as a machinist for many years.
He was the father of Vincent Sullivan, Jr. of Oxford, CT and Kathleen Sullivan Eschbach of Naperville, IL.; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Florence Guyette of Utah, a sister-in-law Carole Woodruff of Hawaii, and sister-in-law Christine Midlin-McNeil of CT. He was the brother of the late Irene Barber, and William Sullivan.
He was loved by many including his daughter-in-law Mary Lou and son-in-law Steve along with many friends at the Warren Senior Center and the wonderful women that helped care for him in his home. He always had a positive outlook on life and inspired so many people with his kind encouraging words, smile, good humor and baby blue eyes. He will be missed by all who had the honor to know him.
His Funeral will be held on Monday from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Church, Main St., Warren. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Warren Senior Center, 20 Libby Lane, Warren, RI 02885.
