Warren R. Specht

October 9, 1945June 25, 2020

Warren Richard Specht, 74, of Warren, RI passed away on Thursday June 25th, 2020. Born in Wisconsin, October 9th, 1945, he was one of three siblings. He was a loving brother to his two sisters whom both unfortunately predeceased him, his older sister Karen Sadler, and his younger more firey sister Carolyn Dasher. He lovingly leaves behind his son Justin and his wife, Aline, and his two grandsons Steven and Thomas. He also leaves behind his friend and companion Donna Neville and her two children Lilli and Conant. All who will dearly miss him very much.

Warren was an excellent swimmer in his younger years and became a lifeguard. When he was older he found a greater calling and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, holding a rank of ASW 2nd Class, he was stationed on multiple aircraft carriers, the WASP (CVS-18), and the INTREPID (CVS-11) to name a couple. Both of these carriers were commissioned for Anti-Submarine Warfare. He flew with the Topcats Anti-Submarine Squadron. He was very proud Navy Veteran.

After the Navy he went to Roger Williams University where he graduated at the top of his class with a degree in accounting. During that time he settled down and started a family. Over the years he had built a strong and loving family. He spent his last years with his loving friend and companion Donna and she was with him at the end.

Warren had a long great career doing a variety of different things in his life, making friends everywhere along the way. All of his family and friends will miss him dearly as he was a good man. We wish him well and pray for him as he rejoins his family that have all passed before him.

We Love You Always……

Fair Winds, and Calm Seas…

God Bless!

Dear Donna,

We send our loving thoughts to you during this difficult time. We have fond memories of chatting with you and Warren around town and in your shop. It was especially fun looking at his beautiful photos. We hope you and his family can find peace in all of your beautiful shared memories.

Warren or Dad2 as I always called him was a second father to me. His son Justin and I were inseparable and we spent a lot of time together at their house, on their boat and even summers at Bonnet Shores in RI. I looked up to him and admired him for his success in business. He was a good role model for me and I’d like to say his success in business rubbed off on me as I started my own business career. I will miss you dearly Dad2. Love Son2 -Brian

Warren was my beloved cousin.
I saw him last, sadly, at his sister Carolyn’s funeral.
He was the big brother I never had but always wanted.
Warren could make you laugh in the worst of circumstances.
He will be sorely missed. Peace to all who are mourning his loss.
Smooth sailing, Warren.

Dear Donna, we are so sorry for your loss. Warren was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We loved his stories and his outlook on life. We will think of him as the sailboats pass by. He will be missed.

Great person to know! We’re in the same age group, served in the same arena. Always knew what to say, worked well together at Lowe’s. He will be missed, but has left found memories!

Warren, we both bought our new homes around the same time, loved sharing our finished projects. All the great pictures of your hard work. I enjoyed working with you and will miss you. This is so so unreal to me still. I will watch for a sail boat as a cloud knowing you are sailing around heaven. Sending my deepest sympathies to family friends.

You will be missed!!

We were cut from the same cloth, in life. To lose you, would mean I would be the only remaining person, who spoke my mind, and my big mouth, that would get me into trouble. And we just laughed about it, and our personalities, and how similar we were! I am truly heartbroken. I’d like to think that you were just off sailing the world, and not truly gone. But if you are truly gone, I’ll see you on the other side of the stars ✨
My prayers to your family, and to all whom cherished you.
Love, Glady
