Adele Kallo, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, friend, inspiration to many, can only be described as one whose value is far above rubies. Her life was characterized by kindness to all, generosity of heart and spirit, and effortless giving. Adele was born in 1932, in Aleppo, Syria, daughter of survivors of the Armenian genocide. She married Yacoub M. Saliba in September 1958, and they lived in Beirut, Lebanon until they moved to the US in 2006. She went to be with the Lord, on February 4, 2022.
She is survived by her four children, Margaret, Monofar, Hilda and John, and two daughters-in-law Natalie, and Colette, son-in-law Dave Kernc, and grandchildren, Tamara Adele, James Daniel, Calista Leah, and Jacob Albert, and her brother, Rev. Joseph Kallo of Los Angeles, California and sister-in-law Juliet, nephew Aziz and nieces, Lara, and Eileen Kallo, and her sister Emeline Kallo, of Aleppo, and nephews Abraham Bidan, George Bidan, Fadi Bidan, Peter Bidan, and nieces Rima and Rosette Bidan, and preceded in death by sister Jamial Kallo of Beirut, Lebanon, nephews Gabriel Sakkab(deceased), George Sakkab, Jason Sakkab, Sarah and Eileen Sakkab, and brother-in-law Joseph M. Saliba and his family, of Beirut Lebanon, as well as many grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.
Adele Kallo always found time to serve and support, opening her heart and her home to all those who sought refuge during hard times, particularly during the civil war in Lebanon. Her loving husband and companion of 60 years preceded her by death in 2012.
