Dear Mrs Kapikian and family - Very sad news the loss of our dear Dr. Kapikian. He is a key vaccine leader in the world and a true Yankee fan. I had the tremendous opportunity to receive Al's advises during my career at the NIH and to enjoy our conversations about the day by day fate of the Yankees. We will miss him as we try to keep with the work of creating better vaccines.

Dear Catherine,
We were so sorry to hear of your husband's passing -- a great loss to you and your family and to the world of science as well. We really only knew Al from his gracious ways and friendliness at Ocean Villa -- and particularly his smile when he had the grandchildren in tow. He obviously was one of those people who made the world a bit better (much better) by his being here.

Dear Mrs. Kapikian and Family,
I am saddened to hear about Dr.Kapikian's passing.
Dr. Kapikian has played an important role in my professional career in Northern Virginia. When I fist moved here from New York City, Columbia University, Dr.Kapikian introduced me to prominent professionals in my field, thus facilitated my professional settlement here; for that I have always been indebted to him. Dr. Kapikian's kind and caring disposition has touched me and will always stay alive in my memory.
My deep condolences to you Cathy and your family.
