I am deeply saddened by the news of Andy's death. He and I were very close friends through junior high and high school. I have very fond memories of the time I spent with him at his parents' house with his Doberman, Sheba. He had an acute and quirky sense of humour. Living in London, I missed the High School reunion, but I am glad he had a chance to see so many of his boyhood friends before he passed. My sympathies go out to his family. I know they have lost a great husband and father.

"To the family of Andy Steinberg: I was blessed to work with Andy while he was at DOT. I benefitted from his counsel and kindness. May the peace of God be with you (Psalms 122:7-8)."

To the family of Andy Steinberg:

I was one of Andy's outside litigators for AA in the Galveston antitrust trial, during which I got to know him, and then did some employment and other AA work for him later. He was a joy to work with -- quick mind, calm management skills, good wit, and judgment beyond his years. Even then, it was clear he had a restless intellect, which led him to a varied and accomplished career. He packed a full lifetime into 53 short years. Speaking for all the Texas litigators he touched, I can assure you that Andy will be missed, but his example of professionalism will continue with us. We will keep him and you in our prayers during this time of loss.

Most sincerely,

I was privileged to work with Andy at American Airlines and at Sabre. I owe much to his friendship and collegiality. He was a truly gracious, brilliant, ethical, loyal and altogether remarkable man who positively influenced many people. Although his accomplishments were many, his greatest success was his loving family. My most heartfelt condolences go out to Roxann, Madeline and Malcolm.

I am so very thankful to have seen Andy at our high school reunion. I was reminded of his kind, open smile and demeanor. They were bright things during high school, and again at the reunion. My sympathies are with his family.

Just a couple of weeks ago at the Chevy Chase Historical dinner, Andy and Roxann chatted with us about our kids, and how much Maddy had liked Barnard. We had a couple of good jokes about the kids, it was a beautiful evening, We are so sad to hear the news about Andy's passing, as he was a vibrant and kind person.
We are thinking of you all in your grief and sadness.
