Dear Kathy and siblings,
I tried to send a card to Echo place in memory of your mother, who was a great friend to both my parents (as was your dad).  My parents were Harley and Althea Wilbur.  My card was returned to me as undeliverable.
Could you let me know where to forward the card I wrote to Kathy, please?

Dear Kathy and family,
I have just learned, through googling her name, that your mom died last June.
Your dad and mine were both Navy captains, who enjoyed a long friendship.
Anne was a wonderful friend to my parents, especially my mother, Althea Wilbur.  I am sorry I never got to see her again, after you brought her to my parents' funeral at ANC, in October 2014.

Your parents' holiday parties were thoroughly enjoyed for years, by my parents and siblings.  I moved to OR in 1976, so I missed most of those gatherings at your parents' home in Falls Church.  Harley (my dad) always gave me a full report on the food and festivities.  I still have the pair of knitted gloves your mom gave me for xmas, at one of the parties I was able to attend.

I hope Anne had a peaceful death and didn't suffer with painful illness.  I hope covid 19 didn't prevent you from seeing her, at the end of her life.  2020 was a difficult year.  If there will be a public celebration of Anne's life in the future, I would like to know about it, in case I am able to visit my brother, when it happens.  

I know you took loving care of your mom as she aged, Kathy.  She was lucky to have you.
