Cerlene died peacefully on Nov. 19, 2023 in the Capital Caring Palliative Care Unit on the campus of Sibley Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love and care of her dearest friends, who had become her family.
Cerlene was the beloved wife of the late attorney Charles Jules Rose. She was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 29, 1923 to the late Joseph Martin and Elsa Gimbel Myers.
She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. She was a member of Washington Hebrew Congregation, National Capital Lawyers Auxiliary, and a volunteer pianist at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
There are no immediate survivors. The funeral service will be at 11:30am on Tues Nov. 21, 2023 at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St NW Washington, D.C. 20016. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Hebrew Congregation or Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
