David Harold Summerville

David H. Summerville, 83, of Chevy Chase, MD passed on April 20, 2014 at his residence. David was born October 26,1930 in Brookville, PA to the late Jay Harold and Clara Cooper Summerville. David graduated from Brookville High School in 1948 and Grove City College in 1952. He did graduate work at George Washington University Law School until serving in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He took early retirement from the United States Department of Transportation and thoroughly enjoyed being a tour-guide in Washington D.C. for a number of years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No.

603 in Grove City for over 50 years. He loved to travel and made many trips to England, which was his favorite destination. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother R. Bruce Summerville. He is survived by his siblings Jane Sorrows, Violet Hebele, James Summerville, and Ruth

Muller. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed. Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery in Corsica, PA. Arrangements under the direction of Joseph Gawler's Sons LLC, Washington, DC.
