His wives Mary Beth and Barbara and son Robert predeceased him. He leaves a brother Henry; his daughter Donna Larrabee Palmer and husband Jack; his daughter in law Diana and three grandchildren.
Mr. Larrabee, a noted journalist, was a former President of the National Press Club and founding member of the National Press Foundation. He was also a member of the Gridiron Club and the Chevy Chase Club, and active with the Alzheimer’s Association.
His internment will be private and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider a gift in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Association of the National Capital Area, 8180 Greensboro Drive, #400, McLean, VA 22102.
