

Born on May 4, 1929, in Jamaica, Dothnie was a woman of courage and determination. She made history in her family as one of the first to immigrate to the United States, bravely paving the way for other family members to follow. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith opened doors of opportunity and created a foundation that would benefit generations to come.
Dothnie had a deep love for her family and demonstrated that love through both words and actions. She gave generously of herself and helped her loved ones in every way she could. Her life was a testament to sacrifice, perseverance, and quiet strength.
She found joy in bowling and singing in her church’s choir. She also enjoyed writing poetry and dreamed of sharing her poems with the world.
She is survived by her brothers, Eric Johnson and Noel Johnson, along with seven nephews, nine nieces and a host of other relatives who will cherish her memory.
Dothnie’s legacy of love, courage, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
