Douglas Wade Stinson

Douglas Wade Stinson passed away on June 11, 2026, after a long illness. Born in Topeka, Kansas, he later made Washington, D.C. his beloved home after moving there in the 1980s. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Lloyd Stinson; his mother, Marian Morrison Stinson; and his step-mother, Patricia Stinson.

He is survived by his brother, Ken Stinson and his wife Judy, and their children: Jeff, his wife Claire and son Taylor; Matt; Tyler; and Ashley. He is also survived by his step-siblings, Kirke Snyder and his wife Diane, Pam Crary and her husband Van, and Sally Norwood and her husband, Franklin, as well as their children and grandchildren.

He will be placed at rest at the Washington National Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
