"Betty" was blessed with a very full life. After graduating with honors from the University of Denver with a BA, she earned a MA with honors from Smith College. She was a member of the Pi Phi sorority and Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Betty married Ludlow King, Jr. in Denver, Colorado on September 10, 1936. This happy marriage lasted for the next 65 years until her husband's death. During this time, Betty was a member of The Sulgrave Club and The Chevy Chase Club. She is survived by her two sons, Jerome Stovall King, M.D. and Ludlow King, III and their families.
She will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband (West Point '30) on March 5. There will be a graveside ceremony at 3 p.m. Her sons will receive family and friends at Knollwood immediately following the burial.
